Gentle YAG Laser provides safe and effective treatment. Laser light safely penetrates into skin so that the tissue can absorb the energy without the need to remove the top layer of the skin. Improvements to the skin can be seen after each treatment. In most cases, there is no need to use anesthetic or skin numbing cream before treatment. However, there is a small chance of redness, bruising or scarring following treatment.
Generally, it is used to treat any area of the skin including the face and neck.
Women should remove any makeup or cream before the laser treatment. Men’s facial skin should be clean shaven to ensure that the laser is absorbed below the skin’s surface. The intended treatment area should not be exposed to sunlight for 7 days prior to treatment.
The treatment is relatively painless because the laser does not remove the top layer of the skin. However, most patients may experience some minor discomfort because the laser creates a warming sensation on the skin during treatment. A topical anesthetic or skin numbing cream can be used for patients with a low pain threshold.
